Have you heard the phrase “bird’s eye view”? What it refers to is the elevated view that we have from above of an object. In short, it’s the view that is imagined if you were looking at something from above down below at an object. It can be a drawing, or it can be an aerial photo, and before manned flight was a thing, the phrase “bird’s eye” view was used to distinguish between views that were drawn at high locations from direct observations.
